Noise and Dust Assessments for your place of work

As well as in-depth health assessments, our teams are specialists in assessing workplaces for dust, fume and vapour.
Employees whilst in work can be exposed to a multitude of substances from oil mists and dusts (both inhalable and respirable) to vapours, fumes, all of which can have a permanent effect on their health in both the short and long term.

COSHH requirements for Dust Fume & Vapour Levels

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (Amendment) Regulations 2002 (COSHH) require employers to identify and monitor Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs) of substances hazardous to health to ensure compliance with the occupational Workplace Exposure Limits (WEL) contained within the HSE guidance EH40.

Sampling is carried out in accordance with the general Approved Code of Practice and our dust, fume and vapour reports comply with the COSHH Regulations.

Ensure your noise levels don't deafen your staff

Hearing damage caused by exposure to noise is both permanent and incurable.

A Medical Research Council survey in 1997/98 concluded that work related hearing problems affect over 500,000 UK workers. Reducing exposure to loud noises and making use of personal hearing protection can make this completely preventable.

Industrial Medical Group Noise Assessment reports comply with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005. We will:

  • Make recommendations on noise reduction measures
  • Identify Ear Protection Zones
  • Identify employees at risk
  • Identify the type of hearing protection required
  • Recommend appropriate hearing protection
